Global Screen racks up further major sales to USA, Latin America, France among others, on Australian box office hit ODDBALL

Munich, Sept 13, 2016 | Global Screen has closed further deals on major territories for its heart-warming English-language family entertainment movie ODDBALL: USA (Momentum Pictures), all Latin America (Snap), France (Trade Media), Benelux (Just4Kids), Portugal (Lusomundo), China (Champ Lis), and Malaysia (Suraya).  

Previously announced deals include Great Britain and Ireland (Icon), Canada (Mongrel Media), Italy (Microcinema), Poland (Kino Swiat), Middle East (Gulf Film), Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru (Star Films), Brazil (Globo), Ex-Yugoslavia, Albania and Slovenia (Fivia), Cyprus and Turkey (Medyavizyon).  

ODDBALL stars up-and-coming Australian star Shane Jacobson (“Kenny”), Sarah Snook (“The Dressmaker”, “Steve Jobs”, “Predestination”) and Alan Tudyk (“Frozen”, “I, Robot”) in the lead roles and tells the incredible true story of an eccentric chicken farmer who, with the help of his granddaughter, trains his mischievous dog Oddball to protect a penguin sanctuary from fox attacks. At the same time this is an ambitious attempt to reunite his family and save their seaside town...  

ODDBALL opened TIFF Kids Film Festival in April and grossed a sensational 9.3 million AUD for Village Roadshow, propelling Australian movies 2015 to their biggest year at the box office since 2001.
