NATPE 2016: Global Screen’s Diverse Portfolio Impresses CEE Buyers
In the run-up to NATPE Budapest, Global Screen’s high quality portfolio is received with great response from buyers: Global Screen has sold the opulent adaptation of the Ken Follett bestselling novel A DANGEROUS FORTUNE to Russia (LLC Igmar), Poland (Romance TV), Slovakia (Slovak TV) and Lithuania (LRT). RIVALS FOREVER - THE SNEAKER BATTLE, the upcoming miniseries about the two brothers who founded the world famous brands Adidas and Puma was received with strong interest from all territories, and sold along with agent-spy drama POINT BLANK and atmospheric teacher-student drama A MINUTE’S SILENCE to HBO Europe. Season 3 of the award-winning German drama series THE WEISSENSEE SAGA sold to Lithuania (LRT) and Slovenia (RTV), while the political thriller FATAL NEWS sold to Slovenia (RTV Slovenija).
Apart from drama offers, the demand for Global Screen’s Family Entertainment slate is high: The animated series SHERAZADE - THE UNTOLD STORIES (26x24’), inspired by the classic Arabian Night stories, sold to Poland (Canal+), Lithuania (LRT) and Kazakhstan (Prime Media). The mystery series ARMAN’S SECRET, sold to Poland (Polsat) and Slovenia (RTV Slovenija) and magical Ireland-set adventure THE LEGEND OF LONGWOOD sold to HBO Europe, Russia (LLC Igmar), Lithuania (LRT) and Slovakia (Slovak TV).
