Global Screen racks up further major sale to China's Tang Media Partners, among others, for its high-profile drama THIS CRAZY HEART

Global Screen has closed further deals on major territories for its heart-warming drama THIS CRAZY HEART, directed by the Oscar nominee Marc Rothemund (“Sophie Scholl”, “My Blind Date With Life”) and produced by Constantin Film's Martin Moszkowicz and Oliver Berben.

Tang Media Partners, who have just posted the fourth highest box office for buyout titles to date this year, have acquired all rights for China and are planning a wide release in 2019. The film will be released by m2 Pictures in Italy, other deals were concluded with France (M6) Hong Kong (Edko), Malaysia and the Philippines (Suraya), as well as an inflight distribution deal with Encore. Negotiations are also underway with buyers for Scandinavia, Latein America, and Japan.

Previously announced deals included Spain (Flins y Peniculas), Portugal (Pris), South Korea (Yejilim Entertainment), CIS (Voxell), Taiwan (Encore Film), Czech Republic/Slovenia/Hungary (Prorom), and Brazil (Globo).

The German box-office hit THIS CRAZY HEART, with more than 2 million admissions, is a moving true-life story of joy and hope for the next day as well as of dreams and intense friendship. German superstar Elyas M’Barek ("Fuck Ju Goehte 3", "Who Am I") plays the leading role, while Philip Noah Schwarz makes an impressive screen debut at his side. Marc Rothemund directs the story with lots of emotion and at a rapid pace.
