Armed with machine guns the three ex-soldiers Ret, Farnum and Bubba attack a gold transport. For the escape two of them disguise themselves in women's clothes and bat their pretty eyes at Hobble-Frank and Aunt Droll. However, they don't realise what is going on untill they run into Colonel Drews who tells them, that three bandits are on the run. In the meantime the villains get lost in the maze-like canyons of the Apache lands,the Mako-Sika. Here Winnetou and Nscho-Tschi are teaching the young warrior Hokshila, when Winnetou is captured by the bandits. He is forced to be a scout and lead them through the confusing Bad Lands. Shatterhand is quickly informed by Nscho-Tschi and they reach the uncanny Mako-Sika they're easily capable of catching up with the villans. But suddenly they're all surprised by a spring tide. The mutual rescue from the deadly river between the narrow canyon walls turns highly dramatic until finally the gold robbers are arrested.
