A Summer in Rome

When reporter Michael moves his family to Rome, his wife and kids aren't quite as excited as he is. Life in Italy takes some time getting used to...

Reporter Michael has finally made it: They're sending him to the city of his dreams as a foreign correspondent - Rome. His wife Susanne and two kids, Caroline and Tobias, are not so excited about moving, however. Caroline has just fallen in love, Tobias likes it just fine at home in Cologne, and for attorney Susanne, Rome means taking a year-long sabbatical. Already reluctant, Michael's family goes to Rome with him and makes some unpleasant discoveries: Nights in Bella Roma are inhabited by all kinds of strange creatures, and nothing seems to go entirely by plan in Italy. Rome-lover Michael bravely tackles all the challenges, trying to glean some good out of every situation, no matter how bizarre. But when his family starts to settle in and get used to life Italian-style, Michaels life turns more and more into chaos.
