DARK WOODS - The Promise

Anne Bach convinces the public prosecutor's office to agree to raid the house of the cemetery gardener Jürgen Becker. The house contains weapons, handcuffs and other items used to keep people prisoner. In the garden, the police dig up a buried car. Even though the cadaver dogs pick up a scent, there is no trace of Barbara Neder in the car. Jürgen Becker learns about the police operation in his house and flees across Germany until an accident stops him.

Inspired by real-life-events that took place the late 1980s, this sinister mini-series tells the story about a family tragedy, and of a brother searching for his missing sister for more than 30 years. From award-winning writer Stefan Kolditz (“Generation War”, “Naked among Wolves”) with Matthias Brandt (“Babylon Berlin”), Karoline Schuch (“Luther and I”), August Wittgenstein (“Das Boot”, “Deadwind”), Nicholas Ofczarek (“Pagan Peak”, “The Team”) and Hanno Koffler (“Never look away”, “Pagan Peak”) as main characters.
