DARK WOODS - The Double Decker

There is still no trace of Barbara Neder. Her family is desperate and tries to search for her with the help of a TV show – without success. Meanwhile Barbara’s mother attempts suicide. Theresa Neder – the daughter of the disappeared – suspects her father. After the young policewoman Anne Bach has studied all the files again, she concludes that everything is pointing to the cemetery gardener Jürgen Becker. Without being asked, he gave the police a false alibi and was one of the last people to be seen with Barbara Neder.

Inspired by real-life-events that took place the late 1980s, this sinister mini-series tells the story about a family tragedy, and of a brother searching for his missing sister for more than 30 years. From award-winning writer Stefan Kolditz (“Generation War”, “Naked among Wolves”) with Matthias Brandt (“Babylon Berlin”), Karoline Schuch (“Luther and I”), August Wittgenstein (“Das Boot”, “Deadwind”), Nicholas Ofczarek (“Pagan Peak”, “The Team”) and Hanno Koffler (“Never look away”, “Pagan Peak”) as main characters.
