DARK WOODS - The Disappearing

In the summer of 1989, Barbara Neder, the sister of Hamburg state police chief Thomas Bethge disappears without a trace from her home in Lower Saxony. Shortly before this, two terrible double murders are discovered in nearby woodland. The local police seem overwhelmed by the situation. Only the young inspector Anne Bach, who sees Thomas Bethge as a mentor, believes that the crimes are connected.

Inspired by real-life-events that took place the late 1980s, this sinister mini-series tells the story about a family tragedy, and of a brother searching for his missing sister for more than 30 years. From award-winning writer Stefan Kolditz (“Generation War”, “Naked among Wolves”) with Matthias Brandt (“Babylon Berlin”), Karoline Schuch (“Luther and I”), August Wittgenstein (“Das Boot”, “Deadwind”), Nicholas Ofczarek (“Pagan Peak”, “The Team”) and Hanno Koffler (“Never look away”, “Pagan Peak”) as main characters.
