Tina, a cleaner at the Federal Palace, receives a visit from Djeko, a supposed friend of her father's. Djeko forces her to grant one of his henchmen access to the office of Beat Tschopp, a member of the management team at Armasuisse. At the same time, Federal President Kathy Kunz devises a secret plan to free the hostages held in Yemen: a plan that involves Beat Tschopp himself. 

In the middle of the night, Tina is questioned by Rainald Mann. To save her family, the cleaning lady has no choice but to secretly cooperate with the federal police. Meanwhile, the political situation becomes more complicated for Kathy Kunz. In Yemen, the hostage-takers begin to carry out their threats. The Swiss diplomat's life hangs in the balance.

Elsa, less experienced than Tina, is murdered. In her office, Kathy Kunz destroys the evidence of arms dealing that would have incriminated her. Tina breaks up with Rainald Mann, whom she blames for Elsa's death, and continues on her own: she searches for the weapons cache that would enable her to free her daughter. 

When the bombs are to be exchanged for the release of the last hostage, Rainald is prepared to do anything to prevent them from falling into the hands of terrorists. He succeeds thanks to Tina, who persuades her father to help her find them.
